The newest product line by industrial-designer-turned-soccer-pro-turned-designer-again, Jay DeMerit, & his Portmanteau Stereo Co., Rockit Logs are customizable bluetooth speakers that marry style + function  ...and they seriously ROCK!  

 

The Western Red Cedar, Fir or Hemlock that will be carefully handcrafted and retrofitted with high-end technology to become your Rockit Log was discovered and recovered in a beautiful valley along British Columbia's Sea to Sky Corridor.  It was an off-cut that had been neglected and left to rot in the back corner of a pole yard, or part of a fallen tree in the middle of an old logging cut block.  After years of drying on the valley floor, weathered and gray, we found it had a low enough moisture content to ensure that checking (cracking) would be minimal, and it surely smiled a little as we collected it to instill its new life purpose.
